IMPCC Monthly Meet focuses on strengthening public communication

The monthly meeting of the Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC), Manipur Chapter, was held on Wednesday at the Preview Theatre of Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Imphal.
The meeting was organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Imphal and hosted by MSFDS under the chairmanship of Dr Engam Pame, Additional Director General, PIB Imphal.
Representatives from PIB, Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), All India Radio (Akashvani) Imphal, National Informatics Centre (NIC), National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Food Corporation of India (FCI), Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST), Sports Authority of India (SAI) NERC Imphal, Airports Authority of India (AAI), MSFDS and other stakeholders took part in the meeting.
Welcoming the participants, Dr Engam Pame thanked all member organisations for their continued support and active participation.
He said many Government departments are undertaking impactful programmes but their achievements often do not receive adequate public attention due to insufficient publicity.
He stressed the need for effective communication and encouraged departments to regularly share updates on schemes, accomplishments and success stories through the IMPCC platform, noting that the committee plays a vital role in bridging the gap between Government agencies and citizens.
During the meeting, representatives presented reports on activities and achievements of the previous month, covering ongoing projects, awareness campaigns, capacity building and public outreach programmes, along with future plans.
Members deliberated on improving visibility of Government initiatives through better planning, prompt dissemination of information and effective utilisation of traditional and digital media.
Special emphasis was laid on aligning communication initiatives with national priorities and effective dissemination of flagship programmes.
Members reiterated their commitment to advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat through clear, accurate and citizen-centric communication.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to strengthen sustained collaboration, regular information sharing and enhancement of communication practices in Manipur.
