Imphal, September 02 2024: The Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) will be organising the annual ritual of "Langban Chara Tamba" from September 4 to October 2, 2024 at Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple, Haying Khongban Uphong Yumbam.

In a release, LSTB informed that the age-old ritual is being performed to pay homage to the deceased forefathers and to pray for a peaceful & prosperous State.

The LSTB has appealed to the public to participate in the annual ritual to pay homage to the departed souls, to those killed in the current humanitarian crisis in the State.

Besides, LSTB will also be organising a "Meetei Puya Wari Leeba" competition on September 19, 2024 at Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple.

The last date for submission of forms is September 10, 2024 .

The competition will be held on the topics, "Naothingkhong Phambal Kaba", "Hiyangthang Lairembi" and "Sanamahi Nongkhong Koiba" .
