Books released at separate events

Three books of Writers Forum Imphal were released at DM College of Teachers Education, DM College campus today.
A press release issued by secretary of the forum stated that Angkagi Saknairaba Kharagi Punsi Wari written by Dr Soibam Nabachandra, Kanglamdriba Ephut (short story) written by Haobam Nalini and Emojit Ningombam's poem Loibi Ching-gum Lengdana were released during the occasion.
President of the forum Keisham Priyokumar and vice president of the forum Yumlembam Ibomcha attended the book releasing function as dignitaries.
Talking about the books and its respective writers, Dr Wahengbam Kumari Chanu lauded the writers while encouraging them to continue their contributions towards literature in the near future.
Meanwhile, vice president of the forum Yumlembam Ibomcha stated that Dr Soibam Nabachandra's book has turned out to be a helpful and beneficial book when it comes to mathematics while adding that students will find it useful.
He appealed to all the writers to strive towards producing more significant and informative history books and not to publish any literature for name sake.
President of the forum, Keisham Priyokumar maintained that the forum has released 199 books till date and lauded the members on the achievements.
In a separate event, Angouba Kei, a book translated by Salam Tomba from the novel 'White Tiger' by Aravind Adiga, was released at Hindi Parishad today.
The book released event which was organised by Sanahanbi Publications, Toubul, was attended by General Council Sahitya Academy member Jodha Chandra Sanasam, Akademi Award Recipient BM Maisnamba and former president of Patriotic Writers Forum, Imphal, Soubam Tomba Luwang as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
On the other hand, a poetry book titled Wangmada written by Saratchand Thiyam was released at the mini auditorium of Manipur Legislative Assembly Museum & Archives today.
Popular critic Professor Nongmaithem Tombi and well known scholar Longjam Joychandra attended the function as the chief guest and president respectively.
