Lions World Service Day observed

Lions Club of Imphal, Imphal Khwai and prospective members of proposed Lions Club of Imphal South-East observed Lions World Service Day 2018 today.
Members of the three clubs, led by president Lions Club of Imphal Lion Dr RK Laksana Singh distributed three bags of rice, one bag of potato, lentils, edible oil and vegetables to Dhananjoy Physically Handicapped Residential School, Khongman Zone-I, said a statement of the Lion M Manas Singh, marketing & communication officer, Lions Club of Imphal today.
The function was also attended by retired Professor of Gynaecology, RIMS Dr Ch Manglem Singh and Past District Governor, Lions District 322D, MJF Lion H Manikumar Singh.
Lions Club International which was established in 1917 is the largest service organisation in the world.
While other initiatives of Lions Club can be from public contribution or own fund, with regards to World Service Day, it is always from the monetary contribution of the club members only, said Lion H Manikumar.
The residents of the school presented informal short entertainment programmes.
