Imphal, August 29 2026: An interactive activity on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) under the theme "ME, YOU & US" was conducted at Shemrock Kids Garden, Imphal East as part of Rohit Mehta Lions Quest Week, 2026.The programme was jointly organised by Lions Clubs of Imphal, Excellence, South Eastern and Nambol in association with Shemrock Kids Garden.

During the session, students of Class 5 to 7 participated in group activities using games, movements and role-play to express emotions focusing on self-awareness, emotional awareness and self-management.

School Headmistress Matouleibi Khoirom explained that "Me" signifies self-awareness, "You" represents empathy and respect for others, and "Us" denotes relationship and teamwork.

Past district governor H Manikumar said the programme was initiated by Rohit Mehta, the first Indian International President of Lions Club in 1991, to help children build life skills like managing emotions, goal setting and responsible decision making.

He termed it a "gift from present generation to future generation".

District chairperson, Lions Quest, Lakshmi Roy spoke on prevention of bullying and administered an anti-bullying oath.

Prizes of painting competition were distributed and comic books on inspirational leaders were donated to the school library.

Region chairperson Region-7 L Upendra Sharma, zone chairperson Zone-14 Manas Maisnam and members of four Lions Clubs attended.
