Jiribam, June 29 2025: The Relief Management Committee, which has played a pivotal role in supporting the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Jiribam district, convened a meeting today and officially renamed the organisation as the Relief Monetary Committee and elected its new office bearers.

The announcement was made by N Chinglemba Meitei, convenor of Relief Management Committee during a press conference held at the office of Relief Management Committee in Jiribam.

He stated that the reformation aims to strengthen the committee's structure and enhance its effectiveness in working for the welfare of IDPs in the district.

As a priority, the committee will focus on the educational needs of displaced students and will urged the authorities to provide necessary support, said Chinglemba.

The newly formed Relief Monetary Committee members comprises, O Priyobala Devi as chairperson, S Bharot Singh and S Sorojini Devi as vice-chairman, Y Budhi as convenor, H Chandra and H Rajesh Singh as co-conven-ors, Y Sanjoy Singh as Treasurer, H Bebekananda Singh as asst treasurer, A Kananmala Devi as publicity secretary, N Chinglemba, H Rishikanta, N Rajeshwori Devi as asst publicity secretary, N Nirmala Devi as organisation secretary, S Sobita and Ph Ranjita as organisation secretary along with other 4 executive members.
