UDYAM registration drive held at Seikhor village

Ukhrul, November 26 2025: The District Industries Centre (DIC) of Ukhrul and Kamjong conducted an awareness cum UDYAM registration programme for the villagers of LM Block, Ukhrul, at the Seikhor Village Community Hall.

The programme, organised under the Raising and Accelerating of MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme, aimed at promoting local entrepreneurs and supporting sustainable business practices.

The programme began with a blessing prayer offered by Rev Ramme Rungsung of Seikhor village.

Resource person Themreiyo T Awungshi, General Manager of DIC Ukhrul & Kamjong, highlighted the importance of timely UDYAM registration for availing various government-sponsored schemes.

He emphasised that the registration enables access to subsidies and benefits from both central and state governments, helping local entrepreneurs reduce operational costs.

District Mission Manager of MSRLM Ukhrul, Horeisung Khamrang, also addressed the gathering and spoke on various livelihood programmes and projects under the Manipur Livelihood Mission.

He underscored the department's focus on empowering rural youth and promoting self-employment in farm and non-farm sectors.

The event saw participation from local leaders, including ZV Mayonring Headman of Seikhor village, Shimthing Rungsung, Village Youth President, Seikhor Village and VS Mathingmi, President of Seikhor Shanaolong.

Over 180 UDYAM forms were issued, and 80 individuals registered during the awareness drive In a separate programme held for Sahamphung Block villages of Kamjong district at the DRDA Conference Hall, Hamleikhong, Ukhrul, an additional 30 persons registered on the spot during the UDYAM registration drive.
