Thoubal police celebrate Ningol Chakkouba

Thoubal, October 26 2025: The Thoubal District Police, under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Pravakar, organised a heartwarming celebration of the cherished Ningol Chakkouba festival, symbolising the bond of love and respect between brothers andsisters.

The event brought together women representatives from the Meira Paibi Lup of six police stations across the district.

The celebration, held at the District Police Headquarters, featured a shared meal and exchange of gifts - a gesture upholding the tradition and spirit of Ningol Chakkouba.

SP Manoj Pravakar, along with other officers, presented gifts to the visiting mothers and sisters, expressing gratitude and affection while reinforcing the values of unity and mutual respect.

Speaking at the occasion, SP Manoj Pravakar emphasised the important role of the police in safeguarding the lives and property of the people.

He urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and promptly report any issue or disturbance in the district.

He assured that the police remain committed to maintaining peace and harmony while fostering a strong relationship with the community.

The celebration was also attended by Additional SP Hijam Devendro Singh and Officers-in-Charge of various police stations, who joined in extending festive greetings and sharing the joyous occasion.

The event concluded on a note of warmth and goodwill, highlighting the district police's ongoing efforts to build closer ties with the public through shared cultural traditions and mutual trust.
