Manipur Excise Raising Day celebrated

Excise Department Manipur celebrated the Manipur Excise Raising Day 2025 at its headquarter in Lamphelpat today.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the Excise flag by Shailesh Kumar Chourasia, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Manipur, who attended the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Shailesh Kumar encouraged the staff and officials of Excise Department to approach their duties with a positive mindset and a strong sense of dedication to effectively complete their tasks.
"By working positively and diligently, officials can ensure efficient operations, uphold the department's responsibilities, and contribute to societal goals by mitigating illicit trade and strengthening economic resilience", he added.

Kh Kondum, president of All Manipur Excise Employee Association, appealed to the Government to provide the benefits of '13-month salary' and ration money to employees of Excise Department who are working long hours like those of the Police Department.
Hungyo Worshang, Commissioner of Excise Manipur; Ngangbam Rajesh, Assistant Commissioner, SP Excise and other senior officers of the department were also present at the event.
As part of the event, awards were presented to outstanding Excise Stations and Excise officials in recognition of their dedication and hard work.
The 'Best Excise Stations of Excise Department' award was given to Yairipok Excise Station (1st), Zone I- Excise HQ (2nd) and Zone II-Excise HQ (3rd).The 'Best Excise Station (Hill)' award was presented to Senapati Excise Station.
The 'Best Officer-in-Charge of Excise Department' was given to Pangambam Ranjit Singh, OC of Yairipok Excise Station; 'Most dutiful and best performance Lady Excise Officer in field work' to N Memcha Devi, OC of Security Section (Women); and the 'Most dutiful Excise Field Official assisting all administrative matters' to Lansingam Gangmei.
The 'Best Performance/most dutiful Ministerial staff in Excise Head-Quarter (Men and Women)' was presented to P Khangchunlung Kabui and Th Sheen Devi.
Consolation prizes were also presented to selected Excise Stations during the event.
