AMUC celebrates foundation day

Imphal, July 24 2026: The All Manipur Ulama Council (AMUC) observed its 1st Foundation Day on Friday at Loktak Hall, Manipur Press Club.

Presidium members who attended the event included AMUC advisors Moulana Abdul Halim and Moulana Riyajuddin, and AMUC president Moulana Ataur Rahman, along with several other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Moulana Ataur Rahman said the AMUC is an apex body of religious scholars and Moulanas of the Pangal community residing in the State.

He added that the council is deliberating on the role it can play amid the prevailing situation in Manipur and is committed to contributing towards peace, harmony and the welfare of the people.
