Seemadarshan team visits Bumla Pass and Sungetser Lake under Op Sadbhavana

As part of the ongoing Seemadarshan Tour under Operation Sadbhavana, the 28 students and two teachers from Don Bosco College, Maram visited the historic Bumla Pass and the picturesque Sungester Lake in Tawang on November 20, 2025 .
The visit provided the young participants to enjoy and admire the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of the region.
The day began with a visit to Bumla Pass, a feature located at over 15,000 feet on the Indo-China border.
At Bumla, the students were briefed on the border management procedure and the role played by Indian Army troops in safeguarding the nation's frontiers.
The participants reveled the pristine Himalayan landscape and admired the soldier's resolve to perform their duties in the face of challenging terrain and harsh climate.
Following the visit to Bumla, the team proceeded to the picturesque Sungester Lake popularly known as Madhuri Lake.
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains the lake offered the students a unique opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty and tranquil environment of Tawang.
The participants were briefed on the cultural relevance of the lake.
The day concluded with the team exploring Tawang Market, where the students interacted with locals and experienced the region's vibrant culture, handicrafts and traditional lifestyle.
The visit left the students inspired, knowledgeable and deeply appreciative of dedication of Indian Army and the breathtaking natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh.
