Imphal, August 23 2025: Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) organised an academic awareness programme on the theme, "Mayai Kaba Nisana Maheiroi Khunaida Piba Cheitheng" at Model Higher Secondary School, Takyel, Imphal West district today.

The programme was attended by CADA president Hijam Priyokumar and Kangjam Ratankumar, Senior English Lecturer of Model Higher Secondary School as presidium members.

At the event, CADA secretary general Takhellambam Geetchandra Meetei said that CADA has been conducting awareness campaigns to educate the people especially the youths/students about the menace caused by the widespread use of drugs and other intoxicants.

Expressing concern over the increasing cases of drug abuse in the State, Geetchandra called for the public's support in the fight against drug abuse to bring forth a healthy and developed society.
