NPO invites all communities to join Barak Festival 2025

Senapati, November 19 2025: The Naga People's Organisation (NPO) has extended a warm invitation to all communities across Manipur and beyond to take part in the 4th edition of the State-level Barak Festival 2025 .

The festival is scheduled to be held from December 12 to 14 at Zilipou, Senapati, under the theme "Heritage in Harmony".

In its press release, the NPO described the Barak Festival as a vibrant celebration of unity, cultural diversity, and shared heritage.

It highlighted the festival as a platform where communities come together to honour the significance of Barak River and to showcase the rich traditions, art, customs, and cultural expressions that enrich the State.

The organisation expressed confidence that the festival would further strengthen intercommunity bonds and promote mutual respect and understanding among the people of Manipur.

Emphasising the need for peace and cooperation, the NPO appealed to all communities and organisations to participate actively and refrain from any form of bandh, blockade, or disturbance during the festival period.

The NPO reaffirmed its commitment to ensure a safe, inclusive, and joyous celebration and sought the continued support of all communities to make the event a success.

NPO also urged all to join hands to celebrate the shared heritage and uphold the true spirit of "Heritage in Harmony" .
