Training programme on 'Branding & Packaging' held in Kakching

Kakching, September 19 2025:
A training programme on "Branding & Packaging" under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme was successfully conducted today at the Conference Hall of Kakching Municipal Council.
The programme was organised by the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Kolkata in collaboration with the Directorate of Trade and Commerce, Government of Manipur, and the District Industries Centre (DIC), Kakching.
The inaugural function of the training programme was attended by Deputy Director of IIP Kolkata as the chief guest.
Other key attendees included Soibam Nabakunja Singh, General Manager of District Industries Centre, Thoubal & Kakching district; Manipati Madam Mohon, Assistant Director of IIP Kolkata; and Salam Hemanta, Director of Iramdam Food and Beverages Industries Pvt Ltd.
Expert resource persons included Gouri Shanker Behera from Grant Thornton and Jiban Khundrakpam, Branding Consultant of MANIPRO Branding Solutions, who provided valuable guidance on packaging and branding techniques.
Altogether, 30 small-scale and large-scale food production units from Kakching district participated in the training.
The sessions focused on equipping entrepreneurs with the skills to strengthen their packaging and branding strategies to make local products competitive in both national and international markets.
Certificates were also distributed to the trainees.
