Imphal, February 19 2009: The Investigation team of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has nabbed two persons who collect money to some people on false pretext of providing them job outside the state and the outfit had decreed them to be confined in their home for three months as punishment.

The two frauds who have been given punishment were identified as Laishram Ajit Sen (29), son of L Ibobi of Kwasiphai in Bishnupur district and Maibam Shyam (38), son of (L) Maibam Kaobi of Kha-Potshangbam in Bishnupur district.

Ajit Sen has been serving as an administrator in a computer training institute, 'Infotech' located at Kha-Potshangbam while Shyam is the managing director.

The Infotech which the two have been running was first started as a computer training institute.

Since 2008, the training centre has been turned into a call centre training institute providing training to many aspirants.

After providing training for three months, trainees were sent to Bangalore with placement assurance in call centres.

But when the trainees went there, they began to know that the institute had no contact with any single all centre.

Upon their complaint, the KCP had begun investigating into the matter, according to the investigating team of KCP.

Speaking to reporters somewhere in Bishnupur district today, a spokesperson of the outfit's Investigation Team said that the training institute has provided training to 26 persons in three batches and sent them to Bangalore with assurance to provide job there.

The spokesperson said that a sum of Rs 6000 each was collected by the institute from 3 boys and 5 girls in the first batch.

It collected Rs 8500 each from 5 boys and a girl in the second batch.

It collected a Rs 10600 each from three boys in the third batch, while Rs 10500 each has been charged from four boys and five girls from the third, fourth, fifth and sixth batches.

Among these persons, five girls and a boy got job, but not with the institute's help.

They got their jobs with their individual's efforts, the spokesperson said.

The two promise them to provide job in Bangalore.

But when the trainees went there they became to know that it was only a hollow promise.

And then the matter was investigated by a special investigation team of the KCP, the spokesperson said.

During the course of the investigation, it came to light that the 'Infotech' has no relation with any call centre or company outside the state.

The spokesperson also warns all job placement workers in the state to submit their reports to the outfit within 15 days.
