Imphal, September 18 2025: The Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) has informed the public that the 132/33/11KV Kongba Sub-station has been put under emergency shutdown from the night of September 16, 2025 due to flooding of the Sub-station equipment inside the switchyard caused by incessant rain and river embankment breach of Iril river.

"Due to this emergency shutdown there will be power outage in downstream Substations and 11 KV Feeders covered by 132/33/11 KV Kongba Sub-station", said MSPCL in a release.

The emergency shutdown will affect the 33/11 KV Khuman Lampak, 33/11 KV Sangaipat and 33/11 KV JNIMS Sub-stations.

Five 11 KV Feeders namely Khongman Feeder, Uchekon Feeder, Wangkhei 1 Feeder, Thambalkhong Feeder and Yairipok Feeder will be affected.

The MPSCL also informed that measures are being looked into to provide alternative power supply to the affected Substations and 11 KV Feeders.
