Imphal, July 18 2025: The much-anticipated "INNOTECH Fest 2025", an annual exhibition cum competition for students, researchers, individuals, and startups began today at Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat.

The event is organised by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Manipur, with Manipur Technology Innovation Hub (MTI-HUB) as the knowledge partner.

The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Manipur; Th Kiran Kumar, Secretary, DIT Manipur; Yumnam Jayanta .

Singh, Executive Director, NIELIT Akampat; and Kengoo Zuringla, Secretary, Science & Technology, Manipur.

Delivering the keynote address, Ch Shachi, Director, Department of Science & Technology, said that the 3-day event will feature innovative idea challenge, creative ROBO design, exhibition and spot painting competition.

"A total of 41 teams from Manipur and other States registered for the innovative idea challenge.

However, due to some issues, only 38 teams are participating in the challenge", he added.

The Director also shared that students from Ram Krishna Mission, Sishu Nista Niketan, MTU, MIT and other educational institutions are participating in the creative ROBO design.

A total of 30 stalls were opened at the INNOTECH Fest today displaying various creative ideas, innovations and designs.
