Tamenglong, May 18 2025: To strengthen emergency preparedness and coordination between civil and security agencies, a civil defence mock drill under Operation Abhyaas was carried out at Eklavya Model Residential School, Tamenglong today.

The drill was jointly organised by the District Administration Tamenglong and Assam Rifles.

The exercise includes simulations of air raids, evacuations, blackout protocols, and search and rescue operations.

During the mock drill, the students and staff were trained in air response, first aid, firefighting, and evacuation procedures.

A makeshift field hospital demonstrated emergency medical and casualty management.

The drill saw active participation from students, teachers, medical staff, and officials.

Emphasis was laid on inter-agency coordination and community involvement.
