Churachandpur reviews Vibrant Village Programme-II action plans

Churachandpur, July 17 2026:
The District Administration, Churachandpur, on Friday convened a District-Level Committee (DLC) meeting under the Vibrant Village Programme-II (VVP-II) at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Mini Secretariat, Tuibong, under the theme "Revitalizing India's Border Villages".
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, while Project Director, DRDA, Jameson Hangsing, facilitated the proceedings.
Senior officials from DRDA, PWD, PHED, PMGSY, Health, Education, Social Welfare, MSPDCL, BSNL, NIC and MSRLM participated in the deliberations.
The committee reviewed the Village Action Plans and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) prepared under VVP-II for Churachandpur district.
During the meeting, DC Krishna Kumar stressed the need for coordinated planning and directed all departments to refine their proposals to ensure effective implementation of development projects.
He urged officials to work collectively to strengthen infrastructure, connectivity and essential services in remote border areas.
The Vibrant Village Programme-II aims to promote the holistic development of strategically important villages along India's international land borders by improving critical infrastructure, connectivity and livelihood opportunities.
