Students take out anti-narcotics rally

Thoubal, May 17 2025:
The Anti Narcotic Drug Organisation (ANDOK) and Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) organised an awareness programme against the abuse of narcotic substances at Paradise English School, Thoubal Okram today.
As a part of the event, students of the school took out a rally/procession highlighting the detrimental impacts of substance abuse.
The rally was flagged from the school, passed through Thoubal Keithel and turned back after reaching Thoubal Melaground.
The event held under the theme "Tunggi Meerolgi Damak Mayai Kaba Chinjakki Ipaktagi Eikhoi Amatta Oiba, Lipunna Ireipaksi Kanminnarasi" was graced by Paradise English School Principal Dr Ningombam Ranjit; International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) advisor Tourangbam Birjit; ANDOK president Chingkhei Luwangcha; Struggling Women's Association (SWA), Kangleipak president Ph Pramodini and Kangleipak Students Association (KSA) president Sukham Bidyananda as the presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Chingkhei Luwangcha said that one should be very clear about their purpose in life and their identity.
If the youth become habitual drug users, they will lose all sense of self, forget their obligations to their motherland and fail to become contributing members of society.
As a result, saving the youth from the vice of drug abuse is a pressing need in Manipur, he said.
