Former Moirang MLA M Prithviraj Singh has made a suggestion to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to initiate dialogue with the involvement of a neutral third party, including Muslim academics and intelligentsia, as mediators, to restore longterm peace in the State.
M Prithviraj Singh met with the Governor at Raj Bhavan, today to discuss pressing issues affecting the State.
During the meeting, he emphasised the urgent need to address the plight of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
He urged the Governor to take concrete steps, in coordination with the Government of India, to provide compensation for their losses - including businesses, livelihoods, and property.
Additionally, he raised a call to ensure safety and uninterrupted movement along National Highways, proposing measures to designate them as "disturbed-free zones" .
