Blood donation camp held

A blood donation camp was held today at the JNIMS Blood Bank Centre, Porompat, under the theme "Leibak Meeyam Amadi Athouba Singda Kathoklaba Ee" .
The camp was jointly organised by the Nationalists' Collective Manipur (NCM) and the Blood Centre, JNIMS, in connection with the upcoming Khongjom Day, Speaking at the event, NCM president N Thoithoiba thanked donors for their selfless contribution.
He said the camp was a pledge of support for the brave hearts of Manipur.
Alongside the collection drive, NCM volunteers spread awareness on voluntary blood donation.
Officials noted that any healthy individual aged 18 and above can donate, and urged citizens to take part without fear.
One unit of blood can save multiple lives, they added.
About 50 individuals donated blood during the camp.
The event ended with an appeal for continued community participation to maintain a steady supply at the hospital's blood bank.
