Full dress rehearsal for 79th Independence Day held at Churachandpur, Kangpokpi

The District Administration, Churachandpur today conducted a frill dress rehearsal Parade for the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebration, 2025 at Peace Ground, Tuibong, Churachandpur with a grand success.
Thangboi Gangte, ADC, Churachandpur, hoisted the National Flag, symbolizing the nation's unity and integrity and took the salute from the march past of the contingents.
SP, Churachandpur Prakhar Pandey along with dignitaries led Guard of Honour and inspection of the march past of the contingents.
The Parade Commander for the rehearsal was Jay Barange, SDPO, Churachandpur, while the stirring renditions of the National Anthem and the band performance were delivered by the 27 Sector Assam Rifles, Churachandpur.
The full-dress rehearsal ceremony comprised marching contingents from the CRPF, BSF, IRB platoon, Civil Police, VDF, Ex-service, Raybum College NCC (Senior division & Senior wing, boys and girls); Raybum High School NCC Junior Wing (girls); Churachandpur College, NCC Senior wing (girls); Bethany Christian College NCC, 1st and 2nd Platoon (Sr & Jr wing, girls) and JNV, Tuinom (Jr mixed platoon & Jr Scouts & Guide Platoon).
Marching contingents from different schools such as Rengkai Govt Hr Sec.
School; JNV, Tuinom; Gandhi Memorial High School; Tuibong Govt High School; KSO, Community School; New Lamka UPS; Saidan UPS; Seilal UPS and Sona Security Agency also participated, showcasing their discipline and coordination.
As part of rehearsal for the celebration Gangte administered the Nasha Mukh Abhiyan Pledge to the gathering, emphasizing the collective resolve to make the district, state and country drug-free.
The pledge aimed to raise awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse and encourage individuals to take stand against drug addiction.
The participants reaffirmed their resolve to work towards a healthier and more prosperous community, free from the scourge of drugs.
Deputy Commissioner, Dharun Kumar S, will hoist the national flag and take salute from the march past contingents at the peace ground on August 15.Jay Barange, SDPO, will be the Parade Commander on Independence Day celebration.
Meanwhile in Kangpokpi, a full-scale dress rehearsal for the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebration was also successfully conducted today at Brigadier Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi.
The Parade Commander, Lhunminlal Khongsai, along with Mahesh Chaudhari, Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi and Manoj Prabhakar, SP Kangpokpi, led the inspection of the guard of honour.
The parade contingent comprised personnel from various departments including the State police, Army Personal, ICDS, CMO, and students from different schools and colleges.
The event was a grand success, showcasing the unity and discipline of all those involved.
The rehearsal demonstrated the readiness and preparedness of the participants and left a sense of pride and patriotism in everyone who witnessed it.
It was a reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and a tribute to our nation as we approach another year of celebrating our independence.
The full-scale dress rehearsal has set the stage for a spectacular Independence Day celebration and has filled everyone with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the main event.
The day also included a solemn ceremony of offering floral tributes at the Conference hall of DC on the occasion of Patriots Day to pay homage to the sacrifices made by the brave patriots.
The rehearsal saw participants from SDO, SDPO, DLO's, concerned departments among others each contributing to the successful program.
