Imphal, July 13 2024: In connection with the observance of World Environment Day, a tree plantation programme was organised today at the premises of Directorate of Health Services, Lamphelpat, Imphal West.

The programme was organised by National Programme on Climate Change & Human Health (NPCCHH), National Health Mission, Manipur and Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur.

It was graced by Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, Minister Health & Family Welfare and IPR; A Hungyo Worshang, Special Secretary, Health.

& Family Welfare; Dr O Sanahanbi Devi, Director, Health Services; Dr Iboyaima, Director, Churachandpur Medical College and Dr M Dinesh Singh, State Mission Director, National Health Mission among others.

At the event, Dr Sapam Ranjan called for community participation in the efforts to promote a healthier and more sustainable environment.

He also shared that the programme was earlier scheduled to be held on the occasion of World Environment Day, but was delayed due the recent flood situation in the State.
