Imphal, August 12 2025: A Leela titled "Mareipak Ningba Koirengsana" will be performed on August 13 Patriots' Day at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, said the Manipur State Shumang Leela Council today.

The Leela will begin at 2 pm of August 13 and floral tributes will be paid to bravehearts who fought the British and sacrificed their lives for Manipur, said Manipur State Shumang Leela Council general secretary Y Nilachandra.

The formal function to celebrate Patriots' Day will be attended by L Tompishak, president, Manipur State Cooperative Union, G Dharmadash Sharma, Joint Director, Art & Culture, Government of Manipur.

The historical play "Mareipak Ningba Koirengsana" is written by Ph Gunachandra Sharma and directed by Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Sh Hemanta.
