Recommendation invited for Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards 2025

Imphal, September 11 2025: The Home Department, Government of Manipur has invited recommendations from eligible persons for Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards 2025 .

The recommendations for this award will be considered by the Awards Committee within a period of two years from the date of performance of the live saving act.

For the year 2025, any recommendations in respect of which the date of performance of the act falls prior to October 1, 2023 should not be forwarded.

Eligible persons should send proposal along with relevant details specified in the format available on the website "www.awards.gov.in" including a citation in narrative form (maximum 250 words), clearly bringing out the sequence-details of the incident as well as the specific role/contribution of the person (rescuer) to Home Department on or before September 20, 2025.A character and Antecedents Verification Certificate should be furnished in each case in the performa given by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

It may be mentioned that Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards are given for meritorious acts of humane nature in saving the life of a person in incidents like drowning, accidents, fire incidents, electrocution, landslides, animal attack, rescue operation in mines, etc.

As the name of the award suggests, the award is given to a rescuer for saving someone's life.

The award is given under three categories namely Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak, Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak and Jeevan Raksha Padak.
