Manipuri poetry book "Choithorakpa Wakhal" among 101 books released in Assam

Imphal, September 09 2025: The Manipuri poetry book "Choithorakpa Wakhal", authored by Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh, chairman of Celin Digital and Manipur State president of Ghyanratna Sahitya Academy, was among the 101 books released during a grand literary event held at Dev Bora Auditorium, Titabor, Assam.

The book is published by Celin Digital.

As per a release issued by the Bahujana Sahitya Academy (BSA), the programme, organised by Ghyanratna Sahitya Academy, which has received a Unique ID from NITI Aayog, Govt of India, was graced by Sonmani Dutta, Director North East Book of Records; Dr Hemchandra Barman; National President, Gyanratna Sahitya Academy; and other prominent figures of Assam as presidium members.

Expressing his happiness, Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh stated that it was a moment of great pride to have his poetry book featured among the 101 books released.

He added that the book is currently available in Bengali script, with future plans for its release in Meitei Mayek, Hindi and Roman script to reach a wider audience.
