Imphal, December 06 2025: A 1-day symposium on the theme, "The Current Trends of Women's Short Story Writing in Manipuri Literature from 1980 onwards", was held today at the DIPR auditorium in Keishampat.

The symposium was jointly Organised by the Sahitya Akademi and LEIKOL.

The inaugural session was graced by AC Netrajit, Member, Manipuri Advisory Board; Rajen Toijamba, convenor, Manipuri Advisory Board; and Ch Subadani Devi, president, LEIKOL as dignitaries.

The symposium featured two sessions chaired by Ch Shee-laramani and Nahakpam Aruna.

In the two sessions, Konjengbam Hemchandra, Lamabam Gojendra Singh, H Roybala Devi, W Kumari Chanu, Longjam Sangita Devi, B TarunKumari Devi and Dilip Mayengbam shared their insight on various topics.
