Imphal, July 05 2025: Singjamei AC MLA Yumnam Khemchand Singh has highlighted measures taken by the Central Government to restore peace and normalcy in the State.

In a statement, the MLA said the recovery of substantial quantities of illicit arms and ammunition by security forces from various parts of the valley districts, and recently, from the hill districts as well is a positive step towards restoring order and normalcy in the State.

Additionally, he stressed that talks and peace dialogues between functionaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and leaders and representatives of various stakeholders, including civil society organizations (CSOs) have started.

He commended Union Home Minister Amit Shah and said several initiatives towards resolving the crisis have been taken up under his leadership.

The Union Home Minister's responsible and accountable approach to addressing the crisis is highly commendable, Khemchand said.

He also appreciated Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, members of the Govemor-in-Council, security forces and officials concerned for their efforts.
