DC Jiribam inspects CCIs and PMAY houses

Jiribam, November 04 2025: The Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, on Tuesday conducted an inspection of the Lairembi Sanglen Children Home and Gulamchat Chingdong Child Care Institutions in Chingdong Leikai, Jiribam, as part of the district administration's regular monitoring of developmental works and institutions.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the children at both homes and assured them that the district administration would provide any necessary support in consultation with the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), Jiribam.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the DCPO to conduct routine health checkups of the children in coordination with the Health Department, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness.

Krishna Kumar also inspected the status of houses being constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) schemes at Chingdong Leikai and Lakhipur, Jiribam.

He interacted with the beneficiaries and expressed happiness over the timely construction of the houses.

Senior officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Th Manoranjan Singh; DIO Jiribam N Bidyananda Singh; BDO Borobekra RK Sailash Singh; BDO Jiribam T.Janeshwor Singh; EO JMC M Surjit Singh; and DCPO Jiribam H Ibeyaima Devi.
