Tree plantation / seedling distribution programme held

Imphal, July 01 2025: To promote environmental conservation and encourage public participation in tree planting, Lions Club of Imphal organised a tree plantation cum seedling distribution programme at a farm near Sawombung Water Supply Scheme today.

As part of the programme which was conducted under the theme "Pick One, Plant One", members of the club planted around 30 tree saplings and distributed about 50 seedlings, said a release issued by Lions Club of Imphal.

Speaking at the event, Manas Maisnam, president of Lions Club of Imphal, informed that the Lions District 322D's district governor Lalit Kumar Kothari has appealed to all the clubs under the district for starting the new Lionistic Year 2025-26 with a Service Activity on the very first day, which is July 1, 2025 .

"Supporting the district governor's appeal, Lions Club of Imphal is also taking up a service project in the form of tree plantation and seedling distribution today", he added.

Prof W Gopimohan, H Manikumar and other members of Lions Club of Imphal were also present at the event.
