Court reserves order

Session Judge, Imphal West has reserved its order on a bail application filed by former president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Manoharmayum Barish Sharma on health ground till December 13 .
Former BJYM president Manoharmayum Barish Sharma was on the run after the October 14 firing incident for more than a week before he was arrested from his own residence on October 21 night by a team of Imphal police station in connection with the case.
At present, Manoharmayum Barish Sharma is in judicial custody at Manipur Central Jail Sajiwa.
Altogether six persons including M Barish Sharma, Alex Ningombam, Gurumayum Rayban, Nongthombam Tony Meitei, Ningthoujam Vicky and Khaidem Nibas were arrested by Imphal police station in connection with the case.
The same Court on November 21 passed an order for release of Ningthoujam Vicky and Khaidem Nibas on execution of PR bond of Rs one lakh and one surety (Government employee) each.
It may be mentioned that the firing incident took place when the accused persons wielding arms and wearing masks tried to abduct one Bobo Khaidem (Bosin) of Sega Road, Khwairakpam Leikai on October 14 at around 10.40 pm.
As the abduction bid ran into stiff resistance from local people, the accused persons fired several rounds of bullets injuring five individuals on the spot.
