Imphal, October 27 2025: The Pibas (male members of a family) of UAE Manipuri community recently organized a grand Ningol Chakkouba celebration at Good Earth Organic Farm in Ajman.

The highlights of the event include Manipuri traditional feast showcasing the State's rich culinary heritage, fun rituals, gift giving and cultural exchange promoting understanding and preserving traditional values among diverse communities.

The celebration was a resounding success, with attendees praising the organizers for promoting cultural heritage and community bonding.

The event provided a unique opportunity for members to connect and celebrate the special bond between brothers and sisters.

UAE gets a glimpse of Chakkouba spirit

Around 150 Manipuris from various communities, including Meitei, Meitei Pangal, Tangkhul, and other hill and valley groups, came together to celebrate the occasion.

Participants included Manipuris working and residing across seven different emirates of the UAE .

The celebration aimed to strengthen the bond of love and respect between brothers and sisters, as well as to promote unity and harmony among all sections of the Manipuri community.

The event showcased the vibrant cultural heritage of Manipur, bringing together people from different backgrounds and communities.
