Manipur records 60.93 pass pc in NEET Highest among North East States

Imphal, July 17 2026: Manipur recorded a pass percentage of 60.93 % in the Re-NEET (UG) 2026, a rise from the 58.14 % recorded in the 2025 examination and the highest in the North East Region.

Javed Hasan, pursuing BDS in JNIMS, scored 610 out of 720 marks to top Manipur State and secure AIR 7105 .

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results on Thursday.

A total of 9,657 students from Manipur registered for the NEET (UG) 2026 .

Of the total registered, 8,321 candidates appeared in the examination, and 5,070 qualified, recording a pass percentage of 60.93 % .

In the NEET (UG) 2025, a total of 10,967 candidates from Manipur registered, 10,606 appeared and 6,116 qualified, securing a pass percentage of 58.14 % .

Notably, a total of 22,79,743 candidates from all over the country registered for the NEET (UG) 2026 .

Of the total registered, 19,99,895 candidates appeared in the examination and 11,21,185 qualified, recording a pass percentage of 56.06 % .

The successful candidates are now qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH, and allied courses across the country.

The State-wise data released by the NTA shows Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of qualified candidates at 1,70,770, followed by Rajasthan (1,33,140) and Maharashtra (1,07,304) .

The NEET re-examination was conducted on June 21 at 5,440 examination centres across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad in 13 languages.

Women outperformed men, accounting for more than 58 per cent of all qualified candidates.

A total of 138 candidates scored above 690 out of 720 marks.

Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana scored the highest, 715 out of 720 .

State topper Javed Hasan received warm reception and gifts in appreciation of his outstanding performance.

Javed is the son of Md Tahir.

He has been staying at a rented accommodation at Sagolband Moirang Ningthou Leirak.

Chemistry One Stop Solution founder Laishram Krishnakanta Singh congratulated the student of the coaching centre and wished him the best in his future endeavours.
