Imphal, June 01 2026:
The proscribed PREPAK(Pro) has called for unification of all youth in order to create a peaceful and progressive Manipur.
On the occasion of the 16th raising day of PREPAK(Pro) (16th Progressive Day) which falls on June 1, its Chairman Longjam Paliba M has offered revolutionary salute to all the martyrs who laid down their lives in the course of the liberation movement.
The Chairman has also expressed solidarity with all the families who have suffered losses and trauma on account of the prolonged crisis.
A statement issued by PREPAK(Pro) Chairman Longjam Paliba M asserted that electing competent and qualified leaders in Manipur is impossible.
It called upon all people to stop selling their voting rights for some money and sacrificing personal choice in exchange for some material benefits from MLAs.
The outfit remarked that the elections in India are aptly defined by the saying "Those who vote decide nothing but those who count the votes decide everything" .
It alleged that the ECI and those in charge of EVM can do ;magic; and ensure victory of a candidate or political party.
In Manipur, people generally vote for the candidate/political party who can offer the highest sum of money and can give room for the grandest dream, Paliba M said.
Over the years, elections have become the root cause of many social crises as candidates/political parties offer money, intoxicating substances, dreams of easy life and create animosity among the masses, he said.
Instead of holding ;local assemblies; for the welfare of people, elected candidates restrict their activities to visiting families of sick people, families of the dead, attending socio-religious functions and events organised by local clubs, read the statement.
In order to free the people of Manipur from Indian occupation, it is imperative to free the people from the control of local political leaders who according to the rebel Chairman are collaborators of Indian leaders, it said.
The outfit said that 90 per cent of Manipur;s economic life-line, natural resources and land area are being kept under the control of anti-Meitei elements through a ;colonial pre-planned law; .
It said that the MLAs are least concerned with the Tronglaobi killings, the aggression by immigrants at Ukhrul and Kamjong.
The Indian election system can produce an endless number of such shameless MLAs.
As long as Manipur remains under India and the people live under the control of the ;proxy leaders;, there will be no change in Manipur, it said.
The whole world knows how Israel has been committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
At the same time, Kuki narco-terrorists who claim to be the ;lost tribe; of Israel have been carrying out a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the indigenous people of Manipur.
The genocide by Israel as well as the ethnic cleansing by Kuki narco-terrorists are being supported by India, it alleged.
The Government of India;s strategy of creating animosity amongst the communities in order to finish off the revolutionary movement of Manipur has taken a more malicious turn toward wiping out the indigenous communities, it alleged.
The Government of India;s ;Mandala Game Theory; is aimed at wiping out Manipur from the surface of Earth.
This policy must be fought collectively without any further delay, the Chairman asserted.
