Unfortunately, the State's education sector is often plagued by many types of disturbances.

Somorjit urged the Government to enact a law which makes it mandatory for all educational institutes to have at least 220 days of class in a year.
There should be no room for corruption, nepotism and favouritism in all activities related to education, he said.
The DESAM president appealed to the Government to take up necessary steps so as to appoint Directors of Education(S) and Education(U) from amongst eligible teachers.
He further appealed to the Government to make education a disturbance free zone and appealed to all students above standard VIII, teachers, guardians and the general public to join the scheduled rallies.
