Imphal, May 29 2025: The Office of Member of Parliament Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam is organising a State Level Essay Competition for students of Classes IX-XII on the topic, "The Role of Legislators in Tackling the Present Crisis and Crafting a New Manipur" .

As per a release issued by the office of the MP, selection will begin with an MCQ test and the top 100 students will move to the essay round.

The competition will be judged by a team consisting of faculty members from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Manipur University, and Dhanamanjuri University.

Cash prizes of Rs 30000, Rs 20000 & Rs 10000 will be awarded to the top three winners.

The top three winners will also get a sponsored trip to Delhi to witness the Parliament's Monsoon Session.

Consolation prize of Rs 5000 each will also be awarded to 5 students.
