Mega Health Camp conducted

The Department of Community Medicine, Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS) organised a Mega Health Camp under the National Medical Commission's Family Adoption Programme at Wangdei Meitei Leikai, Langol today.
The camp was held in collaboration with Wangdei Youth Progressive Club and the local community.
It was inaugurated by Dr Thounaojam Naranbabu, Dean (Academics), SAHS, in the presence of faculty members, community leaders and club representatives.
Faculty members reiterated the department's commitment to strengthening community health through sustained outreach and follow-up services for adopted families.
As part of the programme, MBBS interns presented a role play on breastfeeding awareness and delivered a health talk on the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme.
A multidisciplinary team from General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT and Ophthalmology provided comprehensive healthcare services.
A total of 145 beneficiaries availed free health checkups, blood pressure and blood sugar screening, medical consultation and essential medicines.
