Ukhrul, July 22 2024: Assam Rifles provided immediate medical first aid to the accident victims at Shangshak in Ukhrul district today.

A Bolero Pickup truck met with an accident near Shangshak Khullen village, causing the vehicle to topple into a nearby depression.

The Assam Rifles troops demonstrated exceptional responsiveness and commitment to public welfare by immediately rushing to the scene, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.

Their quick and efficient actions ensured the safe rescue of the three passengers trapped inside the vehicle.

Amongst the travellers, a minor child was injured and he was swiftly evacuated to the Shangshak Battalion's unit hospital, where he received urgent medical care.

The Assam Rifles' medical team provided comprehensive first aid to all three passengers, stabilizing their conditions and ensuring their well-being, added the statement.
