SLBC Manipur advises customers to complete transactions in advance

Bank customers across the Nation are advised to complete their transactions in advance as the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has served a notice for a nationwide bank strike scheduled to begin from the midnight of January 26, 2026, until the midnight of January 27, 2026 .
The State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC), Manipur, operating from the State Bank of India, Regional Business Office in Imphal, has issued a notice to its valuable customers regarding the impending disruption.
The notice, dated today, acknowledges the potential inconvenience the strike may cause to normal banking operations.
While bank management is working to provide "skeleton services" at branches during the strike, the public is strongly encouraged to utilize alternative digital banking channels to avoid issues.
Customers are requested to plan and complete their banking transactions well in advance of the strike dates.
Consumers are also advised to use ATMs for their cash requirements and prefer Internet Banking, YONO, UPI, and other digital platforms for transactions.
The banking community also conveyed their sincere regret over the inconvenience caused to customers due to the proposed industrial action.
