Skill training programme conducted

The Wings of Hope Charitable Trust has successfully conducted a 6-Week Skill Training Programme for 30 widows & girls from Khumbong, Sanjem Chirang, Sangaithel, Khurkhul, Pangei, Itham-Nungoi, Oksu Ningthbmcha, Takhel, Salungpham, Kakching Khunou, Pangaltabi, Serou, etc .
As per a release issued by the Wings of Hope Charitable Trust, the women have been trained in 4 basic livelihood enhancement skills namely tailoring, kauna (water reed) basket weaving, crochet dolls & scented candle making.
In addition, some of them have been engaged in reeling silk threads from cocoons, thereby giving them cash earning.
The trainees hailing from remote villages were paid their daily transportation money for 42 days, as incentive to travel in this summer heat to attend the daily classes.
On the closing day, the items made by the trainees in these six weeks were kept on display.
The president & few of committee members of Sana Janmasthan Club, friends & well wishers attended the simple interaction.
