Imphal, May 21 2026: Budh Vihar Police have obtained a transit remand for two drug peddlers arrested from Old Lambulane yesterday.

The accused identified as Mohamad Istafam @ Razzak and Phundreimayum Amjad of Lilong Haoreibi were arrested along with crude opium.

The duo was produced before the Court of Imphal West Duty Magistrate, with the police requesting a four-day transit remand in connection with an FIR registered under various Sections of the NDPS Act at Budh Vihar Police Station, New Delhi.

The IO of the case submitted that the accused persons as well as the seized drug are required to be produced before a Court in New Delhi.

As the Court approved the request, the accused have been taken to New Delhi in an Air India Express flight today.
