2-day DISHA meeting concludes in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, November 18 2025: The two-day District Level DISHA Committee meeting for Bishnupur District was concluded today at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat, Bishnupur.

The concluding day was chaired by Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament, Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, and Chairperson of the DISHA Committee.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the schemes under Ministry of Women and Child Development, Department of Land & Resources, National Food Security Act, 2013 (NFSA), Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Ministry Of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MPLAD) among others, through PowerPoint presentations of district level officials (DLOs) .

MP Dr Bimol Akoijam emphasized that the DISHA meeting is a platform to monitor development activities for effective implementation of key Central Government schemes and programmes at the grassroots level.

He stressed that DISHA should serve as the ignition for the efficient, inclusive, and time-bound development of districts.

District Level Officers and stakeholders need to collaborate and work together for the progress and positive transformation, he added.

The meeting organized by the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Bishnupur was attended by Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam, ADM, Bishnupur T Opendra, nominated DISHA Committee members and district level officials.
