Imphal, May 18 2025: With regard to a complaint submitted to the DGP requesting him to take action against an individual for criminal intimidation to a particular community, the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and the Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM) have clarified that the particular complaint has nothing to do with either AMWJU or EGM .

Noting that some members of AMWJU have appended their signatures on the complaint, a joint press release issued by AMWJU and EGM asserted that journalists should maintain the highest ethical standards in their conduct as well as while reporting any incident.

AMWJU and EGM held a joint meeting on the matter at Manipur Press Club at 6.30 pm on May 17 .
