Cultural Forum celebrates Foundation Day

The 68th Foundation Day of Cultural Forum.
Manipur was celebrated today at the auditorium of JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal.
The celebration was graced by dignitaries, including Khuraijam Loken Singh, Minister for Art & Culture, and Tourism; Prof Thoijingjam Tombi Singh, 1st Lalit Kala Akademi awardee from Manipur (1988); and Pukhrambam Bilash Singh, Director, JNMDA; and Prof Koijam Shantibala Devi, president of Cultural Forum Manipur.
As part of the event, awards were presented to 45 achievers in recognition of their outstanding contributions to literature, culture, and other fields.
The honours celebrated writers, artists, scholars, and social contributors whose work has enriched Manipur's cultural and intellectual heritage.
The forum's annual journal was also released on the occasion as per tradition.
Speaking at the function, Loken Singh lauded the Cultural Forum Manipur for its 68 years of work in the cultural sphere and for publishing books on Manipur's history.
He said such initiatives are commendable and called for collective efforts to further strengthen the forum's activities.
He added that recognising and encouraging individuals across diverse sectors through awards is inspiring and will motivate more people to contribute to the State's cultural and social growth.
