Imphal, March 15 2026:
The Kshetrigao Meitei Pangal United Clubs (KMPUC) has declared its full support for the ongoing anti-drug drive led by Imphal East Superintendent of Police (SP) Shivananda Surve in the Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency.
The drive targets drug traffickers and peddlers in the area.
In a press meet held today at the KMPUC office in Kshetri Mayai Leikai, KMPUC secretary organisation Sajid Shaha commended the initiative as vital for safeguarding the future generation.
He highlighted active police efforts to identify and arrest offenders, urging local clubs, Meira Paibi activists, and the community to cooperate in making Kshetrigao and ultimately Imphal East and Manipur-drug-free.
Shaha requested that SP Surve continue leading the campaign, while calling on Chief Minister Y Khemchand, the local MLA, and the State Government for sustained backing.
KMPUC announced that any future drug traffickers or peddlers found in the constituency will face social boycott from the clubs, Meira Paibi, and the public.
KMPUC also extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to all, wishing peace, prosperity, and a drug-free Manipur.
