Foundation Day, Golden Jubilee celebrated

Imphal, September 14 2025: The Golden Jubilee celebration of Progressive Writers' Association (PWA), Manipurbegan today at the auditorium of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal.

The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Pukhrambam Bilash, Director, JNMDA; Ibosana Khuman, president, PWA Manipur; and Vineet Tiwari, national executive member, PWA.

The first day of the Golden Jubilee celebration was marked by felicitation of senior members and offering of floral tributes to the deceased members of PWA.

An 'Audio CD' and souvenir of the Golden Jubilee celebration was also released.

Moreover, Thougei Pangei Yangdong celebrated its 2nd Foundation Day at 'Ebudhou Tangja Lilha Pakhangba amadi Ebendhou Ngangoi Konjeng Nurabi Laibung in Pangei today.

The celebration was graced by Sorokhaibam Gautam Singh, Deputy Director, Manipur Police Training College (MPTC), Pangei; Dr Thangjam Dhabali, chairman and managing director, BABINA Group of Companies; Nongthombam Suran, Assistant Commissioner of Police; and Sinam Chandrabodon, president, Pangei Yangdong Apunba Lup as presidium members.

The celebration began with a 'Pena Seisak' by Akash Waikhom followed by a keynote address by Chingakham Jiko highlighting the activities undertaken by Thougei Pangei Yangdong for the welfare of the people.

The event also featured a Thang-Ta performance by artists of KIMACS Performing Unit and a song by Dipu Khunung.
