Hopeful of a popular Govt: Shyam

Imphal, May 11 2025: MLA Karam Shyam has expressed hope of reinstallation of a popular Government in the State at the earliest.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of a State level open 9 men-a-side football tournament at Salam Kangjeibung today, Karam Shyam said that 'neutral' MLAs have been working openly as well as secretly to form a popular Government.

He exuded confidence that a popular Government can be formed shortly.

The MLA said that people have no faith in men or women who speak loud or make tall claims but seldom act on his/her own words.

Saying that games and sports teach morality and foster a spirit of unity, the MLA from Langthabal AC underscored the importance of promoting games and sports.

Lamsang AC MLA Salam Rajen said that sports and education can be effective tools of the Government's War on Drugs.

Noting that Manipur is home to several communities, Rajen stressed the need to promote unity by shedding parochial and communal outlooks.
