Imphal, October 10 2025: A 43-year old man was found dead on the bank of Thoubal River near Changamdabi Makha Leikai, Imphal East under Andro police station under suspicious circumstances this morning.

Some local people came across the dead body at around 8.30 am and the deceased was identified as one Md Firoz Khan (43) s/o late Jalal of Yairipok Changamdabi Makha Leikai, Madrasa Road.

Soon after getting information of the dead body, a team of Andro police station arrived at the spot and cordoned off the area.

After inquest of the dead body and the surrounding area by a team of forensic experts, police took the dead body to JNIMS morgue for post mortem.

It is suspected that Md Firoz Khan was beaten to death by some unknown persons, sources said.
