Kakching, September 06 2025:
The People's Museum, Kakching under the sponsorship of Dr Helena Eye Hospital, Imphal, and Social Worker Kshetrimayum Kennedy, organised a free eye camp at Naodam Bazar Community Hall on Saturday.
Speaking in connection with the free eye camp, social worker Kshetrimayum Kennedy highlighted the importance of eye care, stating that eyes are a vital organ for human life.
He stressed that in today's world, many people, especially from villages, face severe challenges in receiving proper eye treatment due to lack of care, limited medical facilities and shortage of good doctors.
He expressed his gratitude to Mayanglambam Merina, secretary of People's Museum, and Helena Eye Hospital for extending such an opportunity to the local population.
He also assured that every possible support, including medication and further treatment, would be made available free of cost if required from his side.
During the camp, around 300 individuals were examined for various eye related issues.
